Rev. William S. Wiecher, Pastor
Pastor Wiecher is an ordained minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in American with thirty years of ministry experience. Since his ordination in 1989, he has served as Pastor of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Paltz, New York (1989-2008) and, along with his spouse the Rev. Wynemah K. Hinlicky, as Co- Pastor at College Evangelical Lutheran Church in Salem, Virginia (2008-2013).
Since 1998, Rev. Wiecher serves as a Chaplain (Colonel) in the United States Air Force Reserve. Pastor Wiecher is also a 2017 in residence graduate of the Air War College, Maxwell AFB, AL. His most recent assignment, prior to being called to serve as Pastor of Christ The King, was as the U.S. Air Force Academy Chaplain, were he served on extended active duty for the 2018 academic year. He continues as a member of the Air Force Reserve in his capacity as the Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA)) to the Command Chaplain, U.S. Air Force Space Command and U.S. Space Command.
Pastor Wiecher is a 1981 graduate of Capital University, Columbus Ohio, with a BA in History/Secondary Education and Religion and Christian staff work. He attended Seminary at The Lutheran School of Theology, Chicago and graduated in 1989 with a Master of Divinity. He also holds master’s degrees in Philosophy from Fordham University, and in Strategic Studies from United States Air War College.
He and his spouse of thirty-one years, the Rev. Wynemah K. Hinlicky, recently moved to Miami area from Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also an ordained ELCA pastor, currently completing a three-year program in Spiritual Direction and hopes to offer leadership in contemplative practices and ministries. They are the proud parents of three adult children, Joseph, Mikaela and Liam Wiecher.
David J. Cruz, MT-BC, Interim Choir Director
David is native to Miami, Florida. He attended the University of Miami where he received a dual degree in Music Education and Music Therapy with a minor in Psychology. He is currently a music teacher at South Miami Senior High School of the Arts where he directs the magnet orchestra, chorus, theater, and music theory class. He is an active member of the Florida Vocal Association, Florida Orchestra Association, American Music Therapy Association, and American Eurythmics Society. His hobbies include traveling, playing music, attending concerts, and cooking.
Bill Hildebrandt, Organist
Bill took the position of church organist at Ascension Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio at the age of thirteen. Since then, he has served as organist or organist choirmaster in Congregational, Episcopal, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, Unitarian and Syrian Orthodox churches. His position prior to joining Christ the King was as a chapel organist at St. Philips Episcopal Cathedral in Atlanta, GA. Bill served as organist accompanist for the University of Miami choral program playing for them in the American premier of the Desinclos Requiem. He has also participated in the International Festival of Sacred Music at the Vatican and has sung with choirs on stage at Carnegie Hall and accompanied a local high school choir there as well.
Gabrielle Argimon, Youth Choir Director
Gabrielle Argimon, a senior at the Frost School of Music, working towards a B.A. in Music Education, emphasis in Conducting, has joined our staff as our new Youth Choir Director. Be sure to welcome her.
Derek Fairholm, Contemporary Music Coordinator and Sound System Coordinator
Derek Fairholm is the keyboardist and music coordinator for Christ the King's early service. He also leads Kairos, CTK's contemporary band. Derek's other responsibilities include management of the church's sound equipment and its volunteer Sound/Tech Team. Derek is an accomplished performer and composer. He has formed several bands focused on interpreting Jazz standards and original compositions. A consummate pianist, Derek also performs regularly at various venues in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. Derek holds a B.M. in Jazz Performance from the University of Miami Frost School of Music.
Mayra Aguilar, Office Administrator
Mayra keeps the office running smoothly—she’s the person behind the friendly voice that greets you when you call on weekdays, and she prepares all the bulletins and newsletters. She and her husband Carlos enjoy the Keys and spending time with family. Mayra has both a gift and a passion for decorating and party planning—whether it’s preparing delicious sweets, creating a gorgeous table spread, or organizing a birthday party or baby shower. Though originally from Cuba, Miami has been her home for most of her life.
Andrew Pocock, Business Manager
Andrew serves as Christ the King's Business Manager. With 15 years of experience in working with churches and other nonprofit organizations, he brings a wealth of expertise in the areas of accounting, insurance, church administration, and program development. As such, all rely on his strong research skills and attention to detail. Andrew graduated from Trinity University in Florida, with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and has a successful business consulting with local community nonprofits. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and working outside in the yard.
Robert Carter, Sexton
No job is too big or too small for Robert, who has been with Christ the King nearly 20 years. Robert is at church on Sundays and throughout the week, and you can find him busy with everything from fixing sprinklers, to setting up for events, to assisting a member with heavy boxes. Robert’s work is his calling. He is a graduate of Palmetto Senior High and had Mrs. Doris Ludder, wife of the founding pastor of Christ the King, as his guidance counselor. He served in the Army; is a former National Guard Recruiter and was licensed in private investigation. He and his wife have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. In his spare time, Robert lifts weights and coaches wrestling.
Loretta Midgette, Child Care
Loretta has worked for CTK for many years and takes a lot of pride in her very important work. Holding the smallest hands, wiping away tears, and rocking babies to sleep in her arms she is beloved by both children and parents. She is professionally trained in the field of early childhood education and family services.
