About Christ the King Lutheran Church
Sunday Worship Services
08:15 am Casual Worship in Ludder Hall
This service features updated music with keyboard and percussion, and language that reflects modern usage. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday. The service typically lasts around 45 minutes.
10:00 Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary
Full choir and powerful organ music set a majestic tone for the traditional service. The style is somewhat more formal than the early service. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays, and the service typically lasts around an hour.
The Community of Christ the King
Christ the King is a community that is grounded in the rich theological and liturgical traditions of Lutheran Christianity and, at the same time, open to the possibility of change through discernment of the Holy Spirit and thoughtful reflection and deliberation. The Congregation is truly intergenerational, with active involvement, interaction, and collaboration across multiple generations. Both those who grew up in Miami and who are new to Miami make CTK their church home, as do singles, families, empty-nesters, young professionals, and retirees. CTK is also a very social community, with plenty of opportunities for interaction and a number of social events throughout the year.
Together, the Christ the King community lives out its mission: as disciples of Christ, we are called to help people experience the love of God.
Attend an event
There are a number of one-time opportunities to check out the community life more deeply. It might be a dinner or evening program; attending a concert; helping out with serving meals to the homeless, or joining in the Sunday morning education hour. Try something, and become better acquainted.
Getting involved helps you get connected. There are people ready to help you get involved in ministry groups ranging from a monthly book club, to Love in Action’s outreach to foster children in Miami-Dade County. Join in ministry and deepen your relationship with God and with the congregation.

Become a member
Three times per year, Pastor Katie leads a two-week series that provides an orientation to Christ the King and what it means to be Lutheran. During the series, participants are asked to contemplate becoming members of the congregation. After the series is complete, those who have chosen to become members are introduced and received into the congregation at one of the worship services.
